Alvarado, Texas, October 2025 — Milagros Rústicos, a family-owned furniture and décor brand based in Mesa, Arizona, is once again taking its handcrafted rustic, Mexican, and Western collection on the road with a stop at Vintage Market Days of South Central Texas in Alvarado, October 24–26.

The brand is known for heirloom-quality designs, including solid wood furniture, artisan ironwork, handblown glass, Talavera pottery, and handwoven textiles. Many pieces are created from reclaimed wood salvaged from historic haciendas in Chihuahua, Mexico, aged 80 to 100 years, giving each item unique character and authenticity.

Visitors to the Milagros Rústicos booth will experience a scaled-down version of the Mesa showroom. Each show features a fresh mix of rustic, Mexican, and Western pieces, from furniture to artisan décor and colorful pottery. The booth changes from event to event, offering a curated sampling in person, while the full collection of thousands of products is always available at milagrosrusticos.com.

The booth will also showcase fine art photography by Milagros Rústicos co-owner Rich Helmer, whose work is available online, in the Mesa showroom, and now at these shows. His images capture striking Western and Southwestern landscapes and more, offered as canvas prints that bring the same spirit of authenticity and storytelling found in the furniture collection.

“Our pieces are perfect for both residential and commercial spaces,” said the Milagros Rústicos owners. “Designers, homeowners, and hospitality buyers are always looking for furniture and decor with a story, and that is what we deliver. Timeless, soulful pieces built to last.”

Event Information
Rich Helmer

Originally from the Chicago suburb of Elgin, Illinois, Rich Helmer's family headed west to Arizona just before his final years of high school. Rich became instantly fascinated with the desert southwest. Its renowned grandeur and mysterious energy would profoundly influence his later work, as would the endless beaches of Mexico and Southern California. Rich's sonic creativity emerged at an early age, as did his unorthodox approach to artistic ventures.

As a primarily self-taught guitarist and songwriter, Rich has never been one to live by a handbook. However, after devoting most of his life to music, he abandoned his true passion and decided to seek a more "realistic" vocation. The decade-long diversion is something that Rich still occasionally laments, but he also knows that the past is just that - the past. Fortunately, Rich decided to dust off his vintage Telecaster and pursue his love of photography, leaving him with little time for regrets.

Rich dares us to consider what possibilities may lie along the path less traveled with both humility and purpose. Whether provocative, soul-stirring, inspiring, disconcerting, or some combination of these, the overarching theme in Rich's work is that, for him, the lens is much more than a curved piece of glass; it is a vehicle through which viewers can experience worlds that might have otherwise remained hidden.

Join his journey.
